Day 141 - Cumin Rice with Peas


As rice dishes go, this dish is as simple as it gets.. 2 cups of Basmati rice cooked, cooled & fluffed,  The spicing is a tempering of a generous amount of cumin, a pinch of garam masala (or if you prefer, whole spices - cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and Bay leaves). Saute a cup of frozen peas in this spice mixture till they soften. Then, simply fold the rice and the peas together until the peas are evenly dispersed in the rice. All you need is a cup of yogurt to pair as a side.
