Apr 17 - Home made Boules
In the past couple of months I've come to realize that baking a loaf of bread is about as easy as making a batch of Idli / Dosa Batter, one loaf goes a long way.
Far from being intimidating, These boules (bread baked in a dutch oven pot) practically involve no kneading what so ever. just mix the flour, yeast, salt and water with a wooden spoon and allow the gluten to develop. Then coat your hands liberally with Olive oil, bring the mix together with a bit of flour, shape and place into the cast iron pan you plan to bake the bread in. Let it proof for an hour and then bake at 450 F for about 30-40 minutes.
