May 13 - Broccoli Slaw relish


Not sure why I succumbed to buying a bag of the shredded broccoli stems at the grocery, but once I did, I couldn't possibly bear to let it go waste. Tossed it with salt, cayenne, asafetida and crushed mustard, Poured 1/4 cup of smoking hot oil and finished with some Mayer lemon juice. Though this technically qualifies as a relish, it was delicious enough to polish off as a salad.
