May 21 - Home made Bucatini
I have this hand crank Pasta Machine that I bought ages ago and it almost got buried in my basement. A pasta post by a blogger friend, got me to open the packaging. I winged the formula for the dough using just semolina flour, water, salt and olive oil. Enlisted my husband to turn the crank and obtained a serving of pasta. an amateur effort, but the pasta was downright delicious when cooked.
I probably will retire the machine, because of its sub standard design. The dough gets stuck in inaccessible corners, and the instructions asks to let it dry out and fall off, but its definitely got me thinking about investing in a Kitchen Aid Pasta attachment.
