Day 134 - Masoor dal amti (Maharashtrian style Masoor / split red lentils )
This was tonight's dinner paired with plain rice. There simply is no dearth of variations that one can play with given the same limited set of lentils. I was in a bit of a tearing hurry so literally made a quick one pot dal. Split masoor (the red lentils) dal added to sauteed cumin & scallions, a hint of turmeric and salt and the secret ingredient: a fragrant spice blend called 'Gondavale masala' sourced from my friend Anjali from Annaparabrahma. Recipe to be added later, I needed to make the deadline for today.
