Day 171 - Vegan Banana Mango Smoothie
The last thing I look for on a hot summer mornings is a bowl of warm oatmeal. In fact anything that's ever had contact with a gas burner, I don't want to see it for breakfast (one exception is my morning cup of coffee).
I had some peeled almonds sitting in my freezer for the past two weeks, which went into making some fresh almond milk. Along with an over ripe banana and some diced mango, it made for a perfectly chilled smoothie.
Basic formula involves one ripe banana, a cup of diced Ataulfo mangoes and 2 cups of almond milk, along with some powdered cardamom for an added kick of flavor.
