Day 29 - Potato Puffs (Semi home made)
These treats are a breeze with just about whatever left overs you have on hand, just as long as you have some frozen puff pastry sheets on hand. This particular dish was made using yesterdays leftover potato curry. Each sheet of store bought pastry makes 9 puffs.
You need:
1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
filling of your choice
water for brushing
sesame seeds for sprinkling over the puffs
Thaw the sheets overnight in the refrigerator. When you're ready to make the puffs, Preheat oven to 400 F. Unfold the pastry and cut along the seams into 3 strips and further cut each strip into 3 (9 total pieces). Lightly roll the pastry, place the filling in the center of the dough. seal each seam into an 'envelope (lightly brush some water along the edges to help in sealing.) sprinkle sesame seeds over and bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the top turns golden brown. Serve hot.
