Day 46 - Falafel (Middle Eastern / Mediterranean)


I've gone through maybe 1/2 a dozen recipes for falafel, but it never tasted quite right as the my ideal version of Falafels. I'm referring to those from Mamoun's Falafel at NYC, that is until 2 weeks ago, when I stumbled upon Yotam Ottolenghi's recipe in his book 'Jerusalem'. Needless to say, the ingredient list is searing itself into my head as this recipe finds its rightful place in my favorites list. The only tweak I did was to toast half the quantity of sesame seeds listed in the recipe and add them directly to the chickpea mixture, rather than coat the falafel with them.
