Jan 21 - besan stuffed Stuffed peppers

AS tasty as these gorgeous peppers were, they were rather high on the Scoville scale. I picked up these beauties at the Union Square Green Market along with 3 other varieties. and I must confess, I don't remember the exact name of the variety, except that it was 'Aji ''something' . Along with some mild padron peppers, I stuffed these gorgeous beauties with a mix of spiced chickpea flour and panko, and panfried the lot. It was a mixed bag, the padron peppers were mild and the aji peppers? more than made up for that with an ear splitting punch!
