Mar 17 - Beet greens Tempura


Bhajias or tempura, whatever you call it, its still a delicious deep fried treat. Deep fried morsels of different vegetables dipped in a chickpea flour batter are a perennial favorite at home, especially when it's raining cats and dogs. Spinach is a standard, but this time around I made use of some fresh organic beet greens. Loved the whiff of the earthy beet flavor, especially from the crunchy stems.
