Can't think of a better dish to post for today than this comforting dal. After all, Its Baisakhi (the Punjabi New year) and Langar dal represents the best of Punjabi hospitality. This Dal is served in Gurudwaras (Sikh temples) for all those who visit to worship. A simple mix of Urad and chana dal, cooked with a simple blend of spices, primarily coriander and cumin. The flavor is simply unbeatable!
